THE GIFT

As we step into a New Year, may it bring refreshed hope, renewed strength, and meaningful opportunities into every part of life.

From heart to pen, this journal entry begins with a quote from my wise soul friend, William. “In the beginning, in the becoming, in creating the future.” This string of sentiment feels profound, and invites me into deep reflection where the labyrinth ancient archetype comes into view. Labyrinth designs are many. Each one is built with sacred geometry, and dedicated to the spiritual pilgrimage of transformational awakening. THE GIFT
Some gifts are silent, others are expressed, ignored, and hidden. “The Gift” invites me to share the power of personal experience. During today’s reiki session, my body slid out of cognitive reasoning when a flood of starry light cascaded through the portal of my crown chakra. This occurred in tandem as Joe’s healing hands facilitated the reiki symbol that connects with the pure energy of universal consciousness. Shimmering head to toe with inner peace and profound unity, the feeling was that of being spirit-kissed. This power, from higher and deeper realms, is the dream world of sacred mystery. It’s recognition is the elation of awe and wonder that we receive from stars, clouds, mountaintops, and beyond. While resting in that state of Higher Love, I recognized “The Gift.”

After the session was over, I shared with Joe my experience of his Gifted Healing Hands. “It’s not me,” he said. His response cracked open a conversation of what led Joe to reiki. For many years, he was told by many energy sensitive healers that he possessed the innate gift. It took him many years to believe those words. The truth was that he didn’t want the responsibility of healing people. What if it didn’t work? One day he discovered the missing link that he was a conduit for universal life energy to channel through him to support others. Learning this allowed him to embrace his Gift. For many years now, Joe’s gift pours through and beams out to benefit many.

I believe that we are all created as conduits. To live as a conduit requires us to believe in our innate abilities, to feel worthy with a humble heart, and to show up for our practice leaving ego at the door. Every one of us carries the potential to be conduits for sacred mystery, and this is required to dream the world awake.

My meandering path comes to mind. All those years that I procrastinated from lack of believing in the power of my visions and dreams, sitting on them for years. The time is now for planting seeds, and preparing ourselves, for actualizing our soul’s gifts from countless lifetimes. It’s a New Year and a New Earth being built by those done waiting.

I’ve always been a dreamer. How about you? You’re never too young or old to step in. What are your dreams and visions? What is your soul calling you to? This winter time resting ground with bear energy is perfect for dreaming into the depths of inner listening where the essence of infinite potential dwells. Before we know it, the cycle of budding and blooming time will return.

As the doorway into 2026 unfolds, new energies are beginning to stir. “Get ready, ‘cuz here I come,” says Fire Horse ushering in the Chinese Zodiac astrology New Year. This ceramic pendant galloped into my vision  insisting upon highlighting its presence as we welcome the New Year. It’s sacred meaning fires us up with ambition, passion, empowered direction, gut instinct, courage outside the box, creative and innovative actualization. This sacred  medicine pendant reminds us of our soul’s unique purpose and potential. Most importantly, our responsibility to carry on with inner peace, trust, and courage to fulfill our Spirit Earthwalk. Stepping up is vital for supporting awakening momentum. It is a New Year, a New Earth, being built by those done waiting.

s I wrap up this writing, a mail delivery just arrived from my soul sister, Marya. A tarot card entitled – Yemanya. She includes a note which reads: “This card duplicated itself in the box and said, “Send me to Renya.” Originating in West Africa, Yemanya is the source of all waters, a powerful Mother Goddess in Yoruba mythology evolved from the Yoruba River. A symbol of resilience and survival, protection, nurturing, healing, life-giving.

Fire and Water are at play here. Water signifies purification, emotion, and intuition. Fire embodies transformation and revelation. This tarot card invites “Golden Opportunity. What was gifted to me is now gifted to you ~ “Important doors are opening for you right now. Walk through them.” Receive the GIFT.
