EARTH – THE POWER OF STORY

As this sacred ground of creation continues to be disrespected, threatened, endangered, and desecrated in crisis everyday, we find ourselves navigating heartbreak. At the very same time, Spring is such a glorious gift of rebirth cracking open and breaking ground.

 I came across this poem written several years ago when I was trying to make sense of the vastness of diverse human cultures and perspectives. I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone of us are living in our very own orbit. It’s an absolute miracle when we meet someone who gets us, and we get them. It all comes down to story. The stories we hear. The stories we believe. The stories we tell.

THE POWER OF STORY

Inside and all around are
deeply embedded stories 

Stories are the seeds in the soil
resting and germinating
and the ones blowing in the wind

Countless stories
your story
my story
creation stories
rich is the tapestry of
multi-colored strands

What stories are true are up to you
it is for each of us to ask our questions
find our answers
walk our own path

Stories that uplift and transform
are the stories I treasure and tell.

As we well know, stories of all kinds are indeed zinging everywhere. The story I feel is that the global system is crumbling. Folding in on itself. How long it will take nobody knows. I’m always looking for the light of truth hidden in surprising places. Here’s a good one. An old familiar nursery rhyme that we learned to recite so well when we were young. “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again.” There’s no doubt in my mind that this obscure riddle is coming to pass. The world is leaning sideways and wobbling with unnerving uncertainty. Human paradox and constant change is having its way. As we face the unknown, this time at hand calls us to remember our part in the story and remain focused.

Communing deeply with the heart of spirit/soul is key to inhabiting the fullness of my true nature and accessing the inner wisdom that abides there. Every morning before I pop out of bed, and every night before I fall asleep, I place one hand on my heart and the other on my belly. Invoking assistance from higher love vibrational realms, I ask for assistance to keep me awake and dedicated to the path of service.

On April 22nd, Earth Day is celebrated globally. Our love for the Earth and the peace of wilderness and wild things runs deep. As we continue to unify our hearts and minds from wherever we are, we will continue demonstrating how powerfully a unified field can create a better world.

There’s a NEW story birthing from the inside out. The doorway is open. The New Earth is written in our hearts, and from that sacred place we make a difference. In our hearts and minds we imagine the future. In our lives, we co-create it. The doorway is open. The call of the Earth is to unite in cooperation and collaboration. Most importantly now is to honor the divine call within. Even though form the external world this might seem like an impossible fantasy, the paradigm shift is in process. Believe it or not, one day, down the road, we will be saying, “that was then, this is now.”
